Mayor's Song Contest
Last Friday our choir represented the school at the annual Mayor's Song Contest. Our choir rehearsed regularly and although nervous, were so excited to perform on stage in front of a full and enthusiastic crowd. The competition was fierce, with children throwing their heart and soul into their performances. The judges deliberated, whilst all of the schools waited in anticipation. West Park was announced joint second and the children were presented with a cup and invited back on stage.
The contest brings schools from across Darlington together, each singing a song around a theme and representing their school with pride and passion. The choir were thrilled and justly proud of their achievements. The judges were so impressed by their singing and their overall presence on stage. Thank you to all of the children for their hard work and commitment, to Ms Carter Metcalfe for her tuition and choreography and the parents who came along and supported.
We will share photographs of the event soon!
