End of Year Letter:

As this school year draws to a close, and we approach the last day of term, I want to thank each and every one of you for supporting your child over the year. Children are still catching up from missed learning and it makes such a    difference working in partnership together to do this.

It has been a very busy year but it has been great to get back to a full itinerary of trips, visits and visitors.

Some of the things we are most proud of this year are:

· School Games Mark – Gold Award

· Opal Play Award – Gold

· A fantastic STEM week

· WPA Race Day

· Year 1 phonics results put us in the top 20% of schools   nationally

· All of our amazing children who have represented us over the year in sporting events, charity events, science events, the Mayor’s song contest, Dance Festivals, the Jubilee, the Kings Coronation

· Our brilliant Year 6 students who are leaving us this week to undertake their next stage of education – we wish them the very best.

None of this would have been possible without the whole West Park Academy community pulling together. Children, parents and staff all working together to achieve good things.

Have a wonderful Summer Break and we look forward to welcoming you back in September.
