Today, as part of their Remembrance Day learning, Hub 2 children went on a walk into Cockerton to visit the Cenotaph. They created a poppy wreath and have learnt some key facts about why Remembrance Day is so important. Whilst there, the children had a look at the messages and decorations that are already laid out, they laid their own poppy wreath and they also respectfully held a 2-minute silence in honour of all of those people who have served, fought and died during conflict. The children represented the school impeccably, showed huge respect and are a credit to West Park Academy.
