Y4 National Horizon Centre Visit
Last half term, Year 4 went on some visits to The National Horizon centre in Darlington. They met Zoe Bell, a Phd Student, with some of her colleagues. She talked about her life as a scientist and what inspired her to take up this career. The children then had a tour of the laboratories and got to take part in some exciting science investigations, including extracting DNA from fruit and witnessing a chemical reaction which is known as elephant toothpaste!
The children had a wonderful time and were truly inspired by what they saw. Please take a look through our gallery and read some quotes from the children.
