Dear parents and carers,

It has been a very busy week this week.

A group of children attended the Hippodrome for the Darlington Dance Festival- they were amazing.

They represented West Park with energy, confidence and skill. Thanks so much to Mrs Black and Mrs Siddique, our choreographers and costume designers, who have worked with the children after school and supported them throughout.

On Thursday we had a visit from our MP Peter Gibson, who presented 3 of our children with a community award for their commitment to making our community a better place through their litter picking on the way to and from school. Huge thanks to Blake, Ollie and Lewy who are such an inspiration to us.

We also took part in the Great British Spring clean, with groups of children litter picking in the community, showing others the importance of taking pride in the place where we live.

Finally we have been bowled over by the artistic talent on show. So many children getting involved with the Easter egg competition.
