As the last of our casting workshops in partnership with UTC College, our Year 5 children were able to visit the college and see some of the specialist equipment they use. We learnt about different engineering careers and how to get involved in some. Some children were chosen to help create a UTC Trophy for us to take back to school; they learnt how to sand cast within a mould. Children then had the opportunity to use vices, files and emery boards to create their own UTC keyring!
